Within their EXOcute action planned for this weekend, SUBF invites you to many interesting events: lecures, exibitions, concerts and (naturally) parties. It's all about "what you ruin while you are little, you'll miss when you grow up". And when/what/where and why you can check out here.

On saturday, 17th of march, in the building of the Faculty of economy, SUEF held a huge humanitarean party. After this party, which many of you (and us) enjoyed immensly, SUEF deposited 31.000 dinars to the bank account of the handicapped children. You missed it? Too bad. Read all about it here.

We continue to gather textbooks and other literature for the needs of faculty libraries. If you have noticed certain important titles are missing from your library, list them (author, title, publisher - if possible) and send the list to azegilaj@europe.com . If you have already sent a list, but would like to update it, send the update to the same address. You can also leave your lists in SUS offices in 21a Brankova st, Belgrade.

SUS has begun its work on the bill for the new Student organizations Law, similar to many of its kind in other countries. For us, this would mean separation from other "associations of citizens" and a whole new approach to student organizing. For further information, discussion or suggestions, write to azegilaj@europe.com . If we can, we will provide a forum on this website for this and all similar matters.

The next issue of MonopolList, the famous magazine of SUEF will be printed in over 3000 copies. A few days ago, SUEF has returned to its office within the faculty building. Formation of their computer and information center is to be expected in the following period, in separate offices in the faculty building. Until then, their office - now equipped with a computer and 2 telephone lines - is open 10 hours a day. From what we hear, their working hours are none too long - the office is always crowded with students and activists. Whether it has something to do with their recent appearance on Sky News, is yet to be seen :)

SUMF's petition, signed by 350 students, for two additional exam terms has been completely successful. The two terms will be held during weekends - one in November and one in December. All exams will be organized, but exams from the same year will be held at the approximately same time (one term - one exam). It will be possible to enlist in the following year after this exam term. Preliminary dates would be 18. November and mid-December, and precise dates should be available soon.

Martina Vukasoviæ, member of the Executive Board of SUS and coordinator of SUS's foreign affairs service, has been elected into the Executive Board of ESIB. Her mandate starts on 01.01.2001.

Milan Kurepa, professor of the Faculty of physics at the Belgrade University, died earlier today in Belgrade. He was a known scientist, and a beloved professor, one of few that passionately defended autonomy of Universities in Serbia.
We are sorry you did not live to see the day when our universities will regain their autonomy, for which we fought together. We will miss you.
We would like to express our sincerest condolences to the grieving.
