Yugoslavian military casualties

    Q: How many Yugoslavian military personnel have been killed in this war so far? This statistic doesn't seem to get reported (at least I haven't seen it). Reporting statistics like this could help end the war earlier, regardless of who's side you are on.

    The statistic mentioned some 1200 civilians by mid-May; we may only assume the military may be somewhere near the number, but it's largely guesswork. We have heard numbers between 3 and 50 NATO planes being shot down; the estimates on this side may equally vary in numbers.

    Both sides seem to differ in opinion on the helpfulness of publishing the real numbers, so we won't hear them until the whole war is over. They think if these numbers go out in public, the morale of both their armies and people at home would decline.
