Friday, May 21st, 1999 KLA and full independenceQ: Do you think the KLA will use the refugees for full independence instead of autonomy? There is nothing to think about. KLA and its representatives don't hide that they wish independent Kosovo and they didn't hide it 18 months ago, too. Note that the name of that "organization" is Kosovo Liberation Army. Since 1912 Kosovo is part of Serbia. Before that was part of Great Ottoman Empire (Turkish). In never belonged to Albania or any other country, so it cannot be "liberated" from Serbia. It is Army, so it's not some kind of political movement - it is Army, which want to secede part of the Serbia - and that's illegal. It's legal to want to secede, it's legal to create a political party, win elections, make referendum and secede then. It's illegal to (try to) do it with arms. That's the difference between Ibrahim Rugova's DSK (Democratic Party of Kosovo) and Tacci's KLA (except for that Albanians never go to the elections). Seeking the autonomy for Kosovo is something that all of us support. Alan from aprentice.freeserve.co.uk |
