Friday, March 28th Head buried in sandQ: Even worse, naked force argument is used to resolve one country's "home" problem. That is a very dangerous exception to the international law. A: I would say that the human rights issue (and Kosovo problem is partially a h uman rights issue) is still an international problem (I won't get into the very well known discussion of ratified agreements and their contents related to this problem). Of course, this does not the least justify NATO hooligans and hypocrites (everyone knows that Solana was veery critical about NATO during the 80-is, when he was a socialist. What happend, revelation? Or, when you are payed, it is ok to spit on onetime ones ideals?). The exception of bypassing UN Security Council on issues like this opens Pandora's box. I am very interested in seeing what would be NATO's stand if some other group of countries decide to intervene in order to prevent humanitarian catastrophy (Pakistan, Iran and Afganistan in Kashmir, for instance)? I want to keep this short. It is clear that this is all the matter of naked force and in that aspect Milosevic and Solana (viewed as the example of this type of politician) are brothers in perception of solving burning issues.
