Tuesday, March 30th Disqualification of the Opposition in SerbiaQ: NATO would probably stop its attack at this moment, even if it got less than it asked for from Belgrade. However, it seems that there is a boost of optimism, especially in the heads of decision-makers and after the "invisible one". Maybe they hope to carry out their own version of the Croatian Storm under NATO bombs? A: They are not interested in any kind of storm. What they really want, and have practically succeeded in achieving, is disqualification of all opposition, people choosing between different packages of the same system (now look, Vuk is upstanding, Seselj is not... etc, etc.) and termination of any perspectives for democratic future. This effort is near success. We were never too strong, but now we are totally marginalised. Xenophobia has taken control over people. The scum has surfaced (you should have all seen, as I did, the way a local gang broke into an apartment because they saw "a strange red light in it"). Don't ever forget who is the guilty party is on our side. NATO needs to be confronted (intelligently), but we must not forget who pushed us in front of the bully in the first place. Severian |
