A refugee camp. After running for their lives and a long trip to safety, burdening mostly women and children, the old and the sick, refugees found shelter in improvised camps situated in border areas of Macedonia, Albania and Montenegro, lacking basic life necessities. The solidarity of the local population was not enough to satisfy the needs of an enormous number of people. Cynical neglecting by NATO officials, who, together with the cruelty of Serbian authorities, caused the exodus, slows down aid influx, which is inadequate even without the intrusion, into camps with several thousands of people in it.

A refugee convoy. Not long ago, ethnic Albanian refugees were concentrated mostly in inner parts of Kosovo. Activation of NATO bombing caused a major deteioiration of security and a genuine humanitarian catastrophe in Kosovo. Irony lies in the fact that under the pretext of releiving civilian suffering, a situation has developed where those same civilians, common people, suffer the most. In the bloody triangle constructed by NATO, special police forces of the Milosevic regime and the secessionist military ethnic Albanian movement - KLA, common citizens have no way out.
