Podgorica

Podgorica itself, and nearby suburbs was on 4-28-1999 under another NATO attack. Actually, there were 3 attacks during the day and the following night. These were heaviest attacks by NATO since the beginning of war.

Suburbs of Podgorica in flames. A large number of residential areas surrounding Montenegro's capital were damaged in what seems to be the heaviset bombardment so far. NATO launched 40 missiles, including more than 10 cluster bombs. Information on casulaties are still unavailable. First estimates state the material damage is significant.

NATO missiles hit a civilian airport in Podgorica on the first day of the strike less than 10 minutes after a Montenegro Airlines civilian plane had landed.
