Destroyed power-distributing station in Nis. The second largest city in Serbia was due to that in complete darkness. Water and bread supplying are very unstable and irregular, due to lack of power.

The Greek consulate in Nis was damaged in NATO attacks on this city. In first 50 days of war NATO attacked Nis for 22 times.

NATO forces, just 24h after massacre of civilians (see bellow), attacked Nis once more. There were civilians casualties.



The number of civilians killed in Nis, from bombing of downtown and Clinical Center by cluster bombs, rised to 15. Sixty people are wounded, but there is fear that this figures are not final. Explosive parts of cluster bombs could still be found and they represent great threat to population.

The national Oil Company Jugopetrol oil dumps, in Nis suburb, was targeted by the NATO. Due to the attacks and resulting numerous fires, the air is very polluted and therefore the constant danger to the population of Nis.

Nis was attacked with cluster bombs. NATO said that the bombing of the green market happened thanks to mistake, and that the target was the airport, so cluster bombs were used. Cluster bombs are used for destroying of manpower and Geneva Convention forbids them.

Eleven killed and dozens wounded was result of today's attack on main green market in center of Nis. NATO attacked green market at noon. Cluster bombs were used, one cluster bomb consists of several mines, which explode after some time. A lot of unexploded mines are still there and they are dangerous for local population. Hospital near the green market was also damaged in this attack. Last night, main city hospital (Clinical center) was also bombed with cluster bombs, resulting with 4 killed, 22 heavily and 10 lightly wounded. Building itself is severely damaged and over 15 cars parked in front of the building were destroyed.

The Nis Old Bridge was destroyed in one of the NATO attacks. This bridge was connection between old and new part of town.

In the NATO attack Nis exit on international E-75 highway was destroyed.

In recent attacks on industrial zone of Nis 4 persons were injured. Suburb Medosevac was hit, and a few houses were destroyed.

In a particularly brutal NATO attack on Nis, the second largest city in Serbia, an unknown number of people were killed and injured. All identified victims were civilians. NATO forces targeted the industrial suburb of Nis, but numerous missiles went off target and hit the city's residential areas.

In multiple NATO's attacks on Nis many civilian targets were hit. Unfortunatelly, in those attacks there are wounded and dead.

Suburbs and the centre of Nis after being struck by NATO missiles. Buildings in the narrow centre were hit. In yet another NATO bombardment of Nis, one person was killed and eleven were injured. Rescue teams are still clearing the ruins.

In the assault on Nis, one of the missiles struck in the vicinity of the city hospital. The hospital is damaged.
